Hayley (or her alias “Starr”) is based in Denver, CO. Her work focuses on creating whimsical, abstract, dissociated safe space worlds with upcycled textiles.
Hayley primarily works within soft sculpture and garment fabrication. Painting, video, and installation are also mediums she frequently incorporates.
Fantasy, disconnection, and youthful nostalgia are all themes Hayley portrays in her works. She likes to envoke feelings of escapism
Hayley currently works out of her home studio.
She graduated in 2020 with a BFA in painting & sculpture from the Metropolitan State University of Denver. She has exhibited works locally and nationally, and continues to create and show work within the DIY music and arts scene.
She also is the owner of Starr Shoppe where she sells handmade peices of art.
